The extensive and multi-faceted renovation has given the Al Bustan Palace InterContinental Muscat, the opportunity to review many of the hotel’s operational aspects and rename several of its room types in the hotel. Most importantly, we are delighted to introduce a brand new room type located on the ground floor of the Al Bustan Palace wings, which will give guests direct and private access to the newly introduced lagoon pools; the Al Bustan Lagoon Access rooms.

• Al Bustan Rooms – Located on the 2nd and 3rd floors
• Deluxe Rooms – Located on the 5th and 6th floors
• Al Bustan Lagoon Access Rooms with direct access to the lagoons through a 16 square meter private terrace – Located on the 1st floor
  No children under the age of 12 years
  No rollaway beds or sofa beds will be available in any of the rooms or suites
• Executive Suites – Located on the 7th floor
• Executive Suites – Located on the 8th floor
• Presidential Suites – Located on the 8th floor

The new 3000 square meter Six Senses Spa is well under development, however, it will not be ready in time for the scheduled November 2008 opening. In the interim, hotel guests will still enjoy a variety of leisure and wellness facilities within the hotel such as Swedish, Chinese, Balinese, Thai massages, Reflexology and Foot Spa treatments. The rebuilt Tennis Village Club house encompasses a 175 square meters gymnasium which is fully equipped with the latest technology fitness equipment, a 75 square meter multi-function activities room as well as rest and relaxation areas complete with sauna and steam rooms. It is supplemented by 4 resurfaced outdoor tennis courts. Moreover, the hotel will continue to offer complimentary use of the water sports equipment which includes laser sail boats, surf boards, snorkeling and kayaking. Catamaran sail boats are also available for rent.

This extensive renovation project has not only preserved the hotel’s vibrant and prestigious history, but will reaffirm the property’s reputation as one of the finest hotels in the world and as one of the leading business and leisure hotels in the Middle East.
