I first developed my in depth knowledge and passion for Oman and its people when I worked there in the early 1980’s.

In 2001 I set up The Shaw Travel Company – ‘The Oman Experience’. I was one of the first specialist travel businesses to uniquely focus on this country as I was convinced that others would soon recognize that here was a country yet to be discovered. A jewel in the Arabian Gulf that was unspoiled, unknown and that would one day be ‘the place’ to visit! A country in which to take a real holiday, a part of Arabia that has successfully blended its rich heritage and culture with the demands of discerning tourism.
